Dream Satellite TV, a brand of Philippine Multimedia Systems Incorporated (PMSI), is using the Envivio 4Caster M2 encoders for the first commercial deployment of DVB-H mobile TV services in the Philippines. PMSI is currently on test broadcast with eight live channels of 24 x 7 programming on select Samsung handsets.

Jyske

Jyske Bank, the second-largest independent bank in Denmark, successfully implemented an enterprise-wide IP video communication system using technology from Envivio Inc. Live encoders for webcasting and on-demand video servers from Envivio are used to communicate product announcements, financial services, and news updates within the bank and to create innovative branding.

Doordarshan

India's national broadcaster, Doordarshan, selected the Envivio® Mobile TV headend for its DVB-H pilot. The headend is comprised of the award winning 4Caster™ M2 encoders and the 4Manager™ network management system. The Envivio Mobile TV headend was delivered & installed to Doordarshan by SHAF Broadcast Pvt Ltd, the pilot is delivering a high quality mobile TV experience to Indian consumers.

Orange

Enivio Inc and GlobeCast reached a deal with Orange to deliver high-quality MPEG-4 television broadcasts to its mobile TV subscribers in France.

The new solution, based at GlobeCast's Paris technical operations center, features the Envivio® mobile TV headend - comprised of the 4Caster™ M2 encoders and the 4Manager™ network management system. By deploying the H.263/H.264 Envivio mobile TV headend, GlobeCast will be able to provide Orange with the highest quality live television and radio services to any mobile device, from GPRS to HSDPA, in its subscriber network.

Maritime Telecommunications Network

Maritime Telecommunications Network

Envivio Inc. and iDirect Technologies were selected by Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), a SeaMobile Company, for its Maritime Satellite Television Network® (MSTV) service. With the successful launch of the service, MTN became the first company to bring live television programming to cruise ships on a global scale.

Grupo Televisa, S.A.

Shanghai Media Group

Grupo Televisa, S.A. selected Envivio standard definition encoders and decoders for Televisa's digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) operations. By deploying the high quality MPEG-4 compression and decompression systems in news vans, and fixed and flyaway configurations, Televisa enhanced image quality while requiring less than one half of the previous bit rate used for each transmission stream.

"We selected the Envivio systems after testing and comparing them with other systems on the market. The picture quality of the Envivio systems far surpassed its competition," said William Aguirre, Director of Satellite Operations for Televisa. "Using the Envivio systems to lower the bit rates for each transmission stream, we can double the number of simultaneous transmissions over the same satellite bandwidth."

Shanghai Media Group

Shanghai Media Group

Shanghai Media Group (SMG) is using Envivio® MPEG-4 IPTV video headends to encode digital video programming for approximately 80,000 subscribers in the Northern Province of Hei Long Jiang and the City of Shanghai. The IPTV services are delivered via China Netcom Company Limited and Shanghai Telecom Co., Ltd., respectively. To increase video quality and customer satisfaction, SMG has deployed 90 encoders from the Envivio® Broadcast Series.

The Envivio Mindshare™ Presentation system was selected by two separate organizations at The University of Texas at Austin to record lectures and events. The College of Natural Sciences is using the Envivio® Mindshare Presentation system to capture lectures, while The Applied Computational Engineering & Sciences (A.C.E.S.) Building is using the system to capture special events and presentations as well as produce online content for university entities. WSJU

San Juan based WSJU Channel 30, owned by Aerco Broadcasting, deployed a MPEG-4 live video distribution solution over a single T1 line in Puerto Rico. The real-time solution uses the 4Caster™ encoder and the 4View™ decoder to transmit live video and audio to a local cable TV network.
