IPTV Sales Engineer, US

Job Description

Envivio, Inc., headquartered in South San Francisco, is a leading supplier of MPEG-4 based video compression systems and solutions used in a range of applications including Mobile TV, Internet TV, IPTV and broadcast. We have a global sales organization that sells directly and via channel partners to a wide range of customers including major Telcos and Broadcasters.

We are seeking an experienced sales engineer to help support our expansion in to the Telco market in the US region with our IPTV solutions. Reporting directly to the Regional VP of Sales you will be responsible for pre-sales technical support in a defined territory. The position will be based at Envivio’s sales office in South San Francisco, CA. No relocation is available for this position.


Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Providing customers with detailed information on the technical characteristics, features and benefits of the entire Envivio product range
  • Demonstrating products and solutions to potential customers
  • Performing system designs based on customer requirements
  • Providing technical account management for key customers
  • Assisting the bid response team with technical responses to RFPs

Essential qualifications include:

  • Strong technical background with knowledge of video compression and IP networking technologies
  • Strong presentations skills
  • Proven systems engineering ability
  • Prior experience responding to the technical sections of RFIs and RFPs
  • Prior experience providing customer training
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to achieve goals without constant supervision
  • Prior experience in the IPTV market
