Julien Signès

President, CEO, co-Founder

Julien Signès is the President, CEO, and co-Founder of Envivio. He has been driving the strategy and execution of the company to take it from pre-revenue technology to the fastest growing company in the Digital Media technology space. Prior to Envivio, Julien was with France Telecom and Orange in Rennes, France, and San Francisco, focusing on new multimedia services and MPEG-4 technology and strategy. He actively participated in the ISO standardization process to develop the MPEG-4 standard. He has been awarded seven patents linked to his standardization work, and received distinctions from ISO and SPIE. Julien graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Telecom, Paris, in Software and Electrical Engineering.

 

Jean-Pierre Henot

Chief Technology Officer

Jean-Pierre Henot brings over 20 years of experience in video compression and digital video transmission to his role as CTO at Envivio. Prior to joining the company, Jean-Pierre worked for five years at Thomson / GrassValley, where as VP Engineering he was responsible for developing a range of MPEG-2 / MPEG-4 blade encoders that have been successfully deployed by major broadcasters worldwide. Before Thomson, Jean-Pierre held a VP Marketing position at Wandel & Goltermann where he launched a digital TV test and monitoring product range. He began his career as research engineer with France Telecom where he was one of the initial members of the MPEG-2 standard committee, and subsequently managed early European video compression and digital terrestrial broadcast deployments. Jean-Pierre has been an active member of numerous ISO, ITU and DVB standardization bodies and holds several patents in video compression and transmission.

 

Erik Miller

Chief Financial Officer

A seasoned financial executive with over 20 years experience, Erik Miller has been the senior financial executive in many successful technology companies, having raised significant amounts of private equity and has listed two companies on the NASDAQ. He most recenlty served as CFO at SigNav Pty. Ltd and Tangler Pty. Ltd, both based in Sydney, Australia. Erik was previously CFO at BlueArc, Digital Persona, Meridian Data and Parallan Computers, the last two of which he guided through successful IPOs. He also held senior finance positions with Granger-Telettra and Virtual Microsystems. Erik has deep understanding of technology and in addition to his financial responsibilities has often had executive responsibility for IT, Manufacturing and Customer Service throughout his career.  Erik is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Kevin O’Keefe
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin O’Keefe brings extensive experience in scaling field operations at technology companies to support annual revenue in the hundreds of millions. Most recently, he was Vice President of Field Operations for MaxiScale, a cloud-scale file serving and storage platform solutions company. Kevin has also served in chief executive officer and senior vice president roles for technology firms including Stratus Computer, Diogenes, Nativeminds, and MineShare, as well as sales director for Sun Microsystems. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Boris Felts

Vice President, Marketing

Boris Felts is in charge of establishing Envivio's market strategy, and for defining the company's range of widely acclaimed products. Recognized as an expert in mobile TV, he created the world's first encoding products developed specifically for this market. Under Boris's guidance, Envivio created the world's first convergence headend, based around a single encoder capable of encoding content for the Three Screens. Prior to Envivio, Boris was a researcher in the Philips Laboratories in Paris, where he has been awarded five patents for his work on Wavelet-based video compression and context-adaptive arithmetic coding. Boris graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Telecom, Paris, in Physics and Signal Processing.

 

Gilles Guilgué

Vice President, Customer Services

Gilles Guilgué is charged with driving the success of Envivio customer support efforts as the company expands into new markets and grows the product line and the ecosystems, and is also responsible of the validation and the deployment of all the ecosystems based on Envivio products for Mobile TV, Internet TV, and IPTV Broadcast solutions. A respected engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the software, networking and video vompression in Broadcast and Telecom TV markets, he is also the co-founder of French “HD Forum” and “Forum of Mobile TV”. Prior to joining Envivio, Gilles coordinated and managed several projects on the MPEG-2/MHEG5 and MPEG-4 standards for France Telecom/Orange, and lead development teams at Philips. He began his career as research engineer with Thomson focused on the development of MPEG-2 encoders. Gilles followed a course Graduate Engineering School in network and telecommunications at Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Informatique et GEnie des TELécommunications in Paris, France.

Arnaud Perrier

Vice President, Solutions

Arnaud Perrier is responsible for Envivio’s solutions offering and strategy, and for driving the company’s presence in each of the key vertical market segments. A recognized expert in video / audio codec and transmission technologies, Arnaud has over 15 years of experience in engineering and marketing positions at Philips Semiconductors, LSI Logic, and Intellon Corp. Prior to Envivio, Arnaud managed Harmonic’s encoder product marketing team where he brought to market four generations of award winning MPEG-2 and H.264 compression platforms. He holds an MSEE from Polytech Nantes in France, and completed his graduate research project at NYU’s Polytechnic Institute.

 

Eric Rosier

Vice President, Business Development

Eric Rosier brings solid and extensive partnership experience and a broad vision of the Digital Media space to his role of VP of Business Development. He has more than 16 years of technical and commercial experience in the Television and IT marketplace. Before taking on his current role with the company, Eric led the Envivio Product Development team based in Rennes, France. Prior to joining Envivio, Eric drove market presence and solution innovation for Harmonic. His previous experience includes a stint with Canal+ Technologies, where he served as Platform Marketing Manager specifically responsible for MediaHighway and MediaGuard product lines, and tenures leading product and development teams at Thomson and Thales.

Gianluca Rattazzi
Executive Chairman
Gianluca Rattazi was formerly the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of BlueArc, a network storage leader. Previously, he co-founded as its CEO Meridian Data, a pioneer and leader in network attached storage; P-COM, a telecom and communications equipment company; and Parallan Computers, an enterprise-class server company. Meridian Data, P-COM and Parallan Computers all achieved listings on NASDAQ/NMS. Earlier in his career, Gianluca was president of Virtual Microsystems and held executive positions with Validec and Olivetti. He earned an MSEE and an MSCS from the University of California, Berkeley and a Doctorate in Physics from the University of Rome.
