Companies agree to develop product integration, product line integration exploration
Booth e2950, NAB 2001, Las Vegas, Nevada, Date: April 22, 2001 — Envivio.com, Inc. and Avid, Inc. announced that the two companies have agreed to integrate their products non-exclusively, to create a more powerful and complete offering to the broadcast and post-production community, and other markets as appropriate. First efforts are planned to be made by both companies to export from Avid's Publishing Wizard into Envivio Production Studio authoring tool. One result that will be explored the bundling of Envivio's MPEG-4 tools with existing Avid products. The companies will also determine whether to integrate Envivio’s MPEG-4 server into Avid's current streaming solutions.
In parallel, the companies plan to work closely together to develop cooperative sales and marketing programs, which could result in joint activities, including enabling each organization to represent and resell each other’s products. Both companies believe in developing partnerships with other technology leaders in the streaming media market, both have significant partnership relations in place, and the two companies agree to work together to promote each other’s offerings to their respective partners.
