Envivio Delivers MPEG-4 Plug-in for RealSystem Server and RealOne Player
Brisbane, CA, December 10, 2001: Envivio, the leader in MPEG-4 solutions, today announced availability of an MPEG-4 plug-in for the RealPlayer, RealOne Player and RealSystem Server. Envivio's advanced software allows users to view standardized MPEG-4 audio and video as well as mixed media through the RealPlayer and RealOnePlayer, which represent the world's largest streaming media subscriber base of more than 235 million registered users. In addition, Envivio also announced today the availability of its plug-in to the RealSystem Server, which enables content owners and creators to stream MPEG-4 audio and video using the most widely deployed streaming system in the world.
A complete suite of Envivio MPEG-4 authoring, encoding and streaming server tools is now available for content creation and distribution. With the inclusion of the EnvivioTVÔ MPEG-4 plug-in to the RealPlayer and RealOne Player, developers can now create standards-based content for mass-market viewing. The MPEG-4 solution will be available to RealPlayer and RealOne Player users through RealNetworks' auto-update program. The revolutionary new RealOne Player combines a next-generation media player with a jukebox and media browser.
