Net One Systems to Distribute Envivio Family of MPEG-4 Streaming IP Systems
Offers Customers Complete Standards-Based Products to Create, Distribute, and View Interactive MPEG-4 Content
Atlanta, GA – June 3, 2003 – Envivio, Inc., a leading provider of MPEG-4 broadcast and streaming solutions, and Net One Systems Co., Ltd. (“Net One”, Tokyo Stock Exchange: 7518), the largest network integrator in Japan, announced an agreement for Net One to distribute Envivio’s suite of MPEG-4 products in Japan. Under the agreement, Net One will distribute all of Envivio live and video-on-demand MPEG-4 systems, which include the Envivio Live Broadcaster real-time MPEG-4 encoder; Envivio Encoding Station offline encoder; Envivio MPEG-4 Streaming Server; EnvivioTV™ plug-in for Windows Media, Real Networks, and QuickTime players; and Envivio Broadcast Studio MPEG-4 authoring tool.
Net One’s customers can use Envivio’s highly scalable MPEG-4 codec technology to create content of varying bit rates based on their distribution objectives and network environments. In addition, the Envivio MPEG-4 standards-based products and systems allow content providers to add interactivity to the content and stream the content to all major media players on any device, including PC, TV, and PDA. Since Envivio systems are based on the MPEG-4 format, full-length productions can be streamed as one MPEG-4 file.
