Envivio Integrates MPEG-4 Technology With Intel® Set-Top Box Reference Design for Multi-Functional IPlay3 Triple Play Solution

Las Vegas, NV, April 19, 2004 – Envivio, Inc., a leading provider of MPEG-4 and H.264 broadcast and streaming solutions, today announced its integration of MPEG-4 technology with the Intel® 815 Digital Set Top Box (DSTB) Reference Design, to bring together computing, communications, and consumer electronics into a powerful Triple Play Solution. Envivio is part of the IPlay3™ consortium that merges its MPEG-4 systems with market-leading technologies from NetCentrex and Highdeal into one flexible and cost-effective Video, VoIP, and Billing solution for residential consumers.

The combination of the Intel 815 DSTB Reference Design and Envivio’s implementation of MPEG-4 technology opens the door to a rich new menu of Triple Play video, voice, and data services, including live video; video on demand; pay-per-view video programming; Voice over IP (VoIP) communications; and other value-added interactive services with a single billing system.
