Envivio and VSIG to Showcase 4Forum™ Lite, MPEG-4 Portable Webcasting System for Enterprise, Education, and Government Environments
Small Appliance for Multi-Object MPEG-4 Webcasting Will be Showcased at the InfoComm 2004 Exhibition, Atlanta, GA, Booth 3560
San Francisco, CA, June 7, 2004 – Envivio, Inc., a leading provider of MPEG-4 and H.264 streaming solutions, and Visual Systems Integration Group, Inc. (VSIG), a value-added distributor of videoconferencing technology, will showcase the recently announced Envivio 4Forum™ Lite MPEG-4 webcasting system, which complements the already successful Envivio 4Forum family of products. The 4Forum Lite system is a small, lightweight, portable, quiet ‘plug & play’ appliance that instantaneously enables a conference room to broadcast live and on-demand MPEG-4 presentations with synchronized video and presenter’s PC screen capture over IP networks.
As convenient as a video projector, presenters simply plug the VGA cable of the 4Forum Lite appliance to their laptop, which immediately allows them to share their PC screens along with video from a camera, audio, and interactivity.
It complements the 4Forum family with an affordable solution for small deployments, without compromising versatility and the ability to expand later to a global scale with thousands of viewers.
As with all of the 4Forum family of products, 4Forum Lite uses the MPEG-4 Systems Specification to deliver interactive and perfectly synchronized webcasts with a sub-second latency and the ability to scale delivery to thousands of viewers. It is controlled through a web-based interface to easily customize presentations, start and stop the webcasts, post edit, and manage presentations for later on-demand delivery from a video streaming server.
As an innovative web streaming value-added distributor, VSIG adds integration design consulting and technical services to help its customers exceed their competition in the enterprise marketplace.
“We are excited to work with VSIG as a value added distributor of 4Forum Lite and our other MPEG-4 product suites. They have proven themselves as an experienced network and integration design company with integration engineering support, sales support, and technical/sales training,” said Guillaume Cohen, director of Enterprise Marketing at Envivio. “Their high level of service has distinguished VSIG as a premier value-added distributor with a full range of integration solutions that fit well with Envivio’s product offerings.”
The 4Forum Lite portable webcasting system will be shown for the duration of the InfoComm 2004 exhibition, which runs from June 9-11, at Envivio booth 3560.
