What is EnvivioTV?

EnvivioTV is the ISO MPEG-4 compliant player from Envivio. EnvivioTV allows a user to view any ISO MPEG-4 compliant content. EnvivioTV supports the MPEG-4 "Advanced 2D" profile.
EnvivioTV is available today as a plug-in for popular streaming PC clients such as QuickTime™ and RealNetworks ® software player products.

   

In the future EnvivioTV will be available as a standalone, customizable, PC-independent, set top box ready, portable software product.

What types of media does EnvivioTV play?

EnvivioTV plays ISO MPEG-4 compliant files that are identified with the suffix .mp4.

How much does EnvivioTV cost?

A

 

EnvivioTV is free. EnvivioTV is the MPEG-4 client player from Envivio. It is available as a plug-in for the Apple QuickTime player and the RealNetworks player.

Is EnvivioTV able to play .mp4 files from other producers?

A

 

EnvivioTV is an ISO MPEG-4 standard compliant player. It is able to play ISO MPEG-4 standard compliant files served by the Envivio Media Server or any other MPEG-4 compliant server. These .mp4 files can contain not only audio and video but also interactive and graphic elements and 2D animation sequencesr.

What are the minimum system requirements for EnvivioTV?

For Windows
- Windows 98 SE, 2000, Me or NT 4
- Intel Pentium II, 350 MHz or equivalent
- 32MB RAM

    A Mac version will be available soon.
   

Player Requirements
EnvivioTV is available as a plug-in for either Apple QuickTime v 4.1.2 or higher, or the RealNetworks player v 7.0 or higher. You will need the latest version of one (or both) of these players installed on your machine to get started.

Do I need to change my monitor settings to run EnvivioTV?

A

 

No, you don't need to modify your settings.
Note that we recommend to set the color resolution to 16-bit or 32-bit.

Will a new installation of EnvivioTV overwrite an older version?

A

 

Yes.

How do I configure EnvivioTV to work with a network firewall?

A

 

To configure the network settings:

 

 

1. Select Start|Programs|Envivio|EnvivioTV|EnvivioTV Settings or Start|Control Panel| and double click the EnvivioTV icon.
2. Select the Network Settings tab and check either "Use proxy settings from Microsoft Internet Explorer" if configured, or "Specify HTTP proxy" and enter the correct parameters.

 

 

We suggest you speak with your system's administrator in order to set up the correct proxy settings.
